Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Radiology team at Geisinger Health System. As a Radiology Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients undergoing imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Monitor patient responses to medications and treatments, and document information in the medical record.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including reviewing medical history and medication lists.
  • Provide patient and family education on imaging procedures and post-procedure care.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) certification.
