Key Responsibilities:


The Transportation Routing Coordinator is responsible for orchestrating customer orders, optimizing company resources, meeting customer expectations, and adhering to federal regulations.


Core Duties:

WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

- Organize and prioritize orders for delivery and collection, ensuring maximum effectiveness and efficiency to adapt to evolving business requirements.

- Seamlessly integrate new clients or suppliers and routes into established operations.

- Continuously assess the cost-effectiveness of current route structures, implementing improvements as necessary.

- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers.

- Maintain communication with customers, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure optimal service levels.

- Manage software databases to support inbound or outbound operations within the department.


- Work collaboratively with other KeHE teams, both internal and external to Transportation, to achieve company goals.

- Coordinate with warehouse management to balance picking volumes and inbound purchase orders, addressing any transportation-related issues.

- Assist Supervisors or Managers with driver training, coaching, and evaluations. Address and resolve driver concerns or incidents.

- Ensure a safe driving environment is maintained.

- Demonstrate a commitment to accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D required.

- At least three (3) years of prior experience in transportation or logistics is required.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

- Fundamental knowledge of transportation and routing principles.

- Must possess strong analytical skills, be results-driven, self-motivated, and exhibit excellent time management abilities.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in transportation or a related field is preferred.

- Experience in optimizing freight movements using optimization software is a plus.

- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.

- Ability to identify and resolve conflicts effectively.

- A mindset focused on process improvement.

- Excellent problem-solving and research capabilities.
