Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safety, environmental, and quality requirements are followed and prioritized.
  • Operate a cab-operated crane in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Communicate effectively with operations teams in the melt shop and caster.
  • Assist with crane picks and support other departments as needed to drive BRS profitability and improvement efforts.

Requirements:

  • Detail-oriented and safety-focused with strong self-motivation.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Ability to climb stairs and board the crane.

Working Conditions:

The environment is typical for a steel mill production area, with extreme temperatures, high noise levels, and dusty/greasy areas. The job requires climbing stairs to high elevations and working 12-hour shifts, which rotate days and nights.
