About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Programmer to support a payroll application. As a member of our Programming Team, you will be responsible for translating software requirements into design specifications and coding new requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain COBOL and CICS software applications
  • Collaborate with the Programming Team to design and implement software solutions
  • Conduct research and analysis to resolve problems and improve system performance
  • Ensure software standards are met and analyze user needs to determine feasibility of design
  • Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models
  • Coordinate software system installations and monitor equipment functioning
  • Modify existing databases and database management systems
  • Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations
Requirements
  • Strong experience with COBOL and CICS required
  • Exposure to Agile methodology a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or relevant field required
  • 2-4 years of experience required
