Position Overview:
The Lead Water Resources Engineer will engage in the management of water and wastewater systems, focusing on treatment processes as well as the distribution and collection of related initiatives. This role requires collaboration with the water/wastewater design team and other engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations and provide direction to the water/wastewater engineering team.
  • Manage weekly schedules for team members and review their time submissions.
  • Develop project scopes, establish budgets, and monitor financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities to enhance the team's presence in targeted regions.
  • Foster partnerships with W/MBE firms for project collaboration.
  • Assist in the creation of design concepts and evaluate alternative solutions.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control to ensure the production of high-quality project documentation, including reports, design drawings, and specifications.
  • Support clients in the procurement process for construction projects.
  • Provide oversight during construction phases, including administrative tasks and field observations.
  • Contribute to water and wastewater operations, including research, hydraulic/process modeling, environmental assessments, permitting, and project financing.
  • Engage with local, state, or national professional organizations.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $130,000 annually. The specific salary offered will be determined by various factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and work location.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer license in New York State.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with municipal, industrial, and institutional clients.
  • Experience in project management and leadership across various project sizes.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites for technical discussions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and budgets effectively.
  • Familiarity with AutoDesk software and hydraulic/process modeling tools is preferred.
