**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant - AP to join our team in Gallatin, TN. As an Accounting Assistant - AP, you will be responsible for managing daily accounts payable, reviewing payable batches, and processing payment batches for vendors and accounts payable.

**Responsibilities**

* Manage daily accounts payable, including reviewing payable batches and ensuring accuracy in general ledger distributions
* Route invoices for approval using an automated system, including performing a 3-way match when applicable, managing credit memos, and ensuring proper coding
* Process payment batches for vendors and accounts payable
* Review vendor statements to ensure all invoices are properly paid
* Maintain accurate records of source documents in compliance with Record Retention Policies
* Provide support during audits by preparing requested documents and coordinating with auditors to supply necessary information
* Assist in documenting business processes to enhance internal controls, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions

**Qualifications**

* 1-2 years Accounts Payable experience
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Strong communication skills, able to interact clearly and professionally with employees, customers, and suppliers
* Strong data entry skills, with a keen eye for numerical accuracy
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
* Associate degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, or equivalent work experience, preferred
