Overview:

The Ingredient Preparation Specialist role is essential for the effective preparation of raw materials and spices required for our production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Execute all tasks safely, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies at all times.
  2. Accurately weigh and measure ingredients and spices as per established recipes - 75% of the role.
  3. Operate a forklift to gather supplies from storage areas as needed - 20% of the role.
  4. Utilize inventory management systems to ensure accuracy and traceability, applying FIFO principles - 5% of the role.
  5. Maintain compliance with Food Safety policies and promptly report any concerns regarding food safety and quality to supervisors.
  6. Collaborate closely with the Coordinator to identify necessary tasks for each shift.
  7. Ensure that all products meet customer and quality standards consistently.
  8. Keep accurate records of ingredient and spice usage.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, participating in facility-wide housekeeping efforts.
  10. Be prepared to work overtime and weekends as required.
  11. Adhere to scheduled shifts and attendance expectations.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Supervisory Role:

None.

Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  2. Certifications: None required.
  3. Experience: No prior experience necessary.
  4. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and professionally.
  5. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and external contacts.
  6. Capability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Proficiency in reading and interpreting weights and measures, along with basic mathematical skills.

Physical Demands:

Sitting: 0% | Walking: 50-100% | Stairs/Ladders: 5% | Standing: 50-100%

Work Environment:

Normal indoor temperature, with potential exposure to wet and humid conditions.

Potential hazards include fumes, odors, and noise typical of a food manufacturing facility.

Protective Equipment:

Required personal protective equipment includes rain suits, smocks, gloves, goggles, safety glasses, face shields, hearing protection, and hard hats as necessary.
