RN - Med/Surg - Hematology Weekend Nights

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Med/Surg - Hematology Unit at Sentara Leigh Hospital. This is a full-time position with a 36-hour workweek, working night shifts from 7pm to 7am. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing principles and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and developing care plans.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with a strong background in med/surg nursing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
