Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced HSE Lead to join our Life Sciences team at Wood plc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading effective and compliant HSSE programs and initiatives, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HSSE programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to prevent injuries and illnesses.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis to identify and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain training programs to ensure employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely.
  • Monitor and report on HSSE performance metrics to ensure compliance with company targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure HSSE considerations are integrated into project planning and execution.
Requirements
  • Nationally recognized certifications (CSP, ASP, CHST, or OHST) or degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive performance responsibility within the HSSE field.
  • Ability to safely navigate construction sites.
  • Established experience managing large, complex capital construction projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage multiple HSSE teams and projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
