Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Outpatient Psychiatrist to join our team. This role will involve evaluating patients' emotional, behavioral, and mental states, identifying mental disorders, and determining the best treatments.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions to a non-medical audience. A great bedside manner and the ability to remain calm, empathetic, and patient while interacting with patients who suffer from severe mental disorders are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' medical history and collect additional information as needed
  • Analyze medical tests and track patients' progress
  • Develop effective plans of care for patients
  • Prescribe medications
  • C coordinate with healthcare professionals when hospitalization is required
Requirements
  • Medical degree and completed psychiatric residency
  • Board Certification with The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)
  • Full, unencumbered MD license in the state of practice
  • Active DEA in the state of prescribing
  • In-depth knowledge of various psychotherapeutic methods
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong observation skills
  • A great bedside manner
