Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at The Wood Group. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.

We work closely with local Community Centers and other agencies to provide comprehensive services that support individuals in their recovery journey.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
  • Cook and serve meals, following the facility menu to ensure nutritional needs are met.
  • Complete tasks listed on the facility Chore Sheet, as directed by the administrator, maintaining a clean and organized living space.
  • Supervise resident medication procedures, ensuring timely administration and accurate documentation.
  • Perform daily chart documentation, accurately recording resident information and progress.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with individuals who have mental health and/or substance abuse disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with residents and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a patient-centered approach to care.
