Job Summary:

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician at Trane Technologies, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our environmental control systems. This position requires a strong understanding of refrigeration theory, boilers, control systems, pipe fitting, and structural layouts.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist HVAC Field Technicians in the installation and repair of environmental control systems.
  • Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to mount, assemble, and repair units.
  • Ability to use computers and handheld devices.
  • Schedule and communication with site contacts for work to be performed.
  • Working with dispatch on manpower needs.
  • Identify, analyze, and repair equipment, instruments, and products at a customer's location.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, site surveys, installations, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
  • Maintain stock of inventory, company equipment, and documents all service-related activities (including report writing).
  • Provides re-training and follow-up training at customer site.
  • Has extensive experience and knowledge on boilers (license requirements).
  • Determine parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.
  • Schedule and have vehicle maintenance performed per schedule.
  • Assist with after-hours calls as needed.
  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning; or 5 plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Boiler Operator License
  • EPA approved Universal Technician Certification (preferred)
