Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent with 12 college credit hours from an accredited school.
  • Specified number of accredited college hours or a combination of college hours with qualified experience.
  • Age 21 or older, normal hearing, and ability to pass the Department's Physical Assessment Standards.
  • Must be a United States citizen and a resident of Midland County at the time of employment.
  • No felony convictions, history of criminal or improper conduct, or poor driving record.
  • Valid Texas Driver License and ability to obtain TCOLE Basic Peace Officer Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of law enforcement principles, procedures, and best practices.
  • Experience in law enforcement, emergency services, or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound judgments, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse populations.
