Job Overview

LM Manufacturing is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs in compliance with regulations and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement EHS Programs: Create, implement, and maintain EHS programs that meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead Safety and Environmental Initiatives: Develop and lead key initiatives such as the Joint Health & Safety Committee and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, address safety concerns, and oversee incident investigations and reporting.
  • Provide Training and Support: Provide necessary training in accordance with legal and company requirements, and offer support to staff to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Manage EHS Budget: Develop and manage the EHS department budget, including materials, equipment, and travel, ensuring alignment with financial plans.
  • Lead Ergonomics Program: Lead the Ergonomics program, addressing safety concerns raised by employees or management, and conduct industrial hygiene monitoring and report results to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Manage Regulatory Permits: Manage regulatory air and water permits, hazardous waste programs, and pollution prevention efforts.
  • Prepare Environmental Reports: Prepare and file environmental reports (e.g., Tier II, SARA Title III, MAERS).
  • Communicate with Regulatory Agencies: Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies, ensuring consistent communication and compliance with regulations.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Ergonomics, Industrial Hygiene or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of safety, ergonomic, and environmental experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal communication skills, detailed-oriented with good organizational skills, good analytical, assessment, and problem resolution skills, and working knowledge of Federal and State occupational health and safety regulations.
