Job Summary

An intermediate-level engineer is sought to independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering and/or scientific techniques, procedures, and criteria. The ideal candidate will use judgment in applying or recommending adaptations and modifications.

Typical assignments will be in the areas of engineering or scientific design, problem-solving, and technical support for the optimum operation and maintenance of company assets.

The successful candidate will participate on teams of field employees, technicians, engineers, and other personnel.

Key Accountabilities
  • Performs engineering assignments, proposing solutions to engineering-related problems.
  • Works with experienced professionals to recommend and implement timely solutions involving routine engineering, design, operation, maintenance of company assets, and market optimization.
  • Collaborates with more experienced engineers to provide follow-up and engineering assistance on defined problems within time and budget constraints.
  • Develops models and analyzes data to recommend solutions and/or improvements in processes and programs; develops and presents presentations to all levels of management and/or external parties.
  • May provide field engineering assistance or technical support.
  • Keeps up to date on current technology and market/technology trends.
  • Ensures environmental regulatory compliance by monitoring, reporting, developing, and implementing procedures and strategies.
  • Performs, coordinates, and recommends solutions for environmental issues based on investigations, professional judgment, current industry practices, and occasional consultation with experienced professionals.
  • Reviews and interprets environmental regulations and proposed regulatory changes to assess impact and to ensure compliance.
  • Represents the company on environmental issues with regulatory agencies and industry groups.
  • Understanding of environmental laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science job-relevant discipline and a minimum of 2 years of job-relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, primarily Excel and Word.
  • Intermediate analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organization skills.
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Air Emissions Annual Reporting in MAERS and/or MIENVIRO, Part 75 in the CAMD Business System, and Emissions Collection and Monitoring Plan System (ECMPS).
  • Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reporting in eGGRT.
  • Active member/participant in industry focus groups (i.e. MMA, EPRI, EEI, AGA, INGAA).
