We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team at DSJ Global. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in supplier management, contract negotiations, and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities:- Category Management: Develop and implement sourcing strategies for medical devices, PPE, and Med-Surg products, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and GPO member needs.
- Supplier Relationships: Foster strong relationships with key suppliers, driving collaboration and continuous improvement in quality, service, and innovation.
- Contract Negotiations: Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure the best value, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and risk mitigation.
- Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research and data analysis to identify emerging trends, pricing fluctuations, and new suppliers that could drive competitive advantage.
- Cost Savings Initiatives: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through sourcing strategies, process improvements, and supplier consolidation without compromising quality or service.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including clinical teams, procurement, legal, and finance, to ensure sourcing strategies align with patient care objectives and operational goals.
- Supplier Performance Management: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supplier performance, drive accountability, and ensure consistent delivery of products that meet quality and service requirements.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that all sourcing activities comply with healthcare regulations, including FDA, OSHA, and other relevant standards. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure product availability.
- Technical Expertise: Leverage your technical knowledge in med device, PPE, or Med-Surg products to evaluate new technologies, product innovations, and supplier capabilities, ensuring the highest levels of quality and performance.
- Reporting: Provide regular reporting on category performance, cost savings, and supplier performance to key stakeholders, including leadership and GPO members.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CMRP, CPSM, PMP) are preferred.
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management with a focus on medical devices, PPE, or Med-Surg products within a healthcare GPO or related environment.
- Technical Background: In-depth technical knowledge of medical devices, PPE, or Med-Surg products is required.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to drive cost savings while maintaining product quality and availability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
