Job Overview

Berger Transfer & Storage, Inc. is currently in search of a skilled Dispatcher to oversee our logistics operations. The Dispatcher will be responsible for managing a fleet of approximately 20 owner-operators and their teams, ensuring timely service delivery while maintaining accurate data records.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties of the Dispatcher include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating efficient schedules to optimize capacity and enhance customer satisfaction;
  • Recruiting and training local teams and contractors;
  • Evaluating the profitability of local contractors;
  • Monitoring the condition and maintenance of equipment;
  • Upholding a high standard of customer service quality;
  • Performing additional tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred);
  • Experience in the moving industry (preferred);
  • Background in household goods dispatching (preferred);
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;
  • Effective problem-solving abilities;
  • Familiarity with geographical areas;
  • Self-driven and motivated by daily challenges;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
