Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our Laboratory Services Department at Starr Regional Medical Center. This is a PRN position, offering a competitive pay rate and a range of benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform common testing procedures and report test results in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct quality control testing to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage laboratory supplies and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Collect and process blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques.
  • Assist with receiving, identifying, accessioning, processing, and transporting specimens.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, or Biology.
  • ASCP certification or equivalent (AMT) or State of Tennessee Medical Technologist license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MT(ASCP), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), MT(AMT) certification.
