Job Title: Registered Nurse / Nights
Job Summary:
Burke is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Mental Health Emergency Center in Lufkin, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care services to acutely mentally ill adult residents
- Give injections, administer oral medications, and complete admission and other nursing assessments
- Coordinate psychiatric assessments utilizing telehealth equipment and emergency healthcare needs with other medical care providers
- Supervise LVN staff and mental health specialist staff, and maintain constructive relationships with stakeholders in the community
- Inventory medications, provide patient education, and document patient care
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners
- At least one (1) year experience as a licensed RN working in a medical or acute mental health setting
- Valid Texas Driver's license and a driving record insurable by Burke's insurance administrator
Work Environment:
The Mental Health Emergency Center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The successful candidate will be required to work 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.; with a total of 7 shifts every 14 days. May be required to work every other weekend, and holidays on a rotating basis.
Compensation:
$73,834 annually
