Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Porter to join our team at LeFrak Organization in Queens, NY. As a Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our building, as well as performing various maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain hallways, lobbies, elevators, and the interior and exterior of the building to ensure a professional appearance.
  • Troubleshoot and correct compactor deficiencies to prevent disruptions to our operations.
  • Communicate effectively with tenants to address their concerns and provide excellent customer service.
  • Document tenant issues and inquiries in a clear and concise manner.
  • Perform various maintenance tasks, including cleaning apartments where maintenance work has been performed.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities.
Requirements
  • Must have direct and proven experience as a Porter in a residential, commercial, or professional services environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor are essential for success in this role.
  • Able to effectively communicate via radio in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of our organization.

  • Positive attitude and outgoing personality.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to multitask.
  • Experience working with construction tools and knowledge of carpentry work.
  • Professional appearance and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
