Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aviation Maintenance Technician to join our team at Zero-G. As an Aviation Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks on our aircraft in accordance with applicable specifications, procedures, and limitations. You will also be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our aircraft and communicating with our Maintenance Control Center regarding aircraft status, ground time, troubleshooting, and repair.
Key Responsibilities- Perform maintenance tasks on aircraft in accordance with applicable specifications, procedures, and limitations.
- Ensure airworthiness of aircraft and communicate with Maintenance Control Center regarding aircraft status, ground time, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Notify Maintenance Control Center of any concerns regarding component effectivity.
- Ensure that maintenance personnel under your supervision are adequately trained and qualified to perform assigned duties.
- Represent the company in a professional manner to all outside agencies.
- Coordinate ground time, troubleshooting, and materials requirements with Maintenance Control Center.
- Ensure proper recording of all work performed, per GMM requirements.
- Enforce safety regulations and practices, and inform of policy and procedures to ensure a safe and reliable operation.
- Coordinate maintenance, tooling, and parts support for all maintenance activities.
- Initiate material requests for required parts and supplies.
- Maintain technical proficiency and knowledge of aircraft and engines operated by the company.
- Perform RII inspections when qualified and authorized by the Part 119 Chief Inspector.
- Identify problem areas and recommend corrective action through technical interaction with maintenance vendors, engineering, and flight crews.
- Travel with aircraft as assigned to support flight operations.
- Hold a current and valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
- Maintain company required qualifications and authorization for Airworthiness Release.
- 5+ years experience maintaining large transport category aircraft.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to travel with aircraft as required.
- 5+ years experience maintaining B727 aircraft.
- B727 Airframe and Powerplant General Familiarization Training.
- Held Airworthiness Release, RII, and Engine Run qualifications.
- Supervisory experience.
- Experience with both line and heavy maintenance.
- Located within 50 miles of the Fort Lauderdale (FLL) or Miami (MIA) International Airports.
- U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the United States without a sponsored visa.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
- Current, valid U.S. Passport and U.S. Driver's License.
