Position Overview:
This role is pivotal in establishing robust monitoring systems to oversee all facets of physician compensation within the Physician Alignment Group. You will provide training to departmental staff on best practices, lead month-end initiatives, and engage in special projects that facilitate informed decision-making. Your responsibilities will include executing month-end closures with the finance team to ensure accurate physician payment reconciliations and compensation documentation. Additionally, you will deliver analytical support for variance assessments and senior management reporting, as well as prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, and monthly reconciliations.
Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, candidates should possess the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is required.
- An MBA is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance-related role within the healthcare sector, or 5 years in a similar capacity outside of healthcare.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Experience with VBA is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Epic, Lawson, Epsi, Access, and business intelligence tools is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves medium work, which may require exerting or lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly.
