Key Responsibilities:

The Quality Assurance Specialist II will engage in the testing and thorough examination of web and mobile platforms. This position involves scrutinizing project and development specifications to guarantee that requirements are comprehensively fulfilled across various web browsers and devices, including mobile and tablet formats. This essential role will provide insights on product quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for diverse clients, encompassing both pre-launch and post-launch evaluations of aspects such as functionality, design, and compliance with accessibility standards.

Daily responsibilities will encompass identifying and investigating bugs, recognizing usability challenges, overlooked technical specifications, and accessibility concerns. This position collaborates closely with project management, developers, and designers to achieve high-quality results that align with client expectations. The ideal candidate should be focused, results-driven, self-directed, and a resourceful problem-solver. Success in this role requires a blend of technical and creative skills to harmonize usability with aesthetic appeal, ultimately crafting effective consumer websites and mobile applications.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Familiarizing oneself with the product, identifying issues, and investigating bugs.
  • Monitoring and pinpointing concerns related to content, layout, usability, accessibility, functionality, and more across multiple platforms.
  • Reviewing and analyzing product and development specifications to ensure clear adherence during testing.
  • Documenting issues with reproducible steps and logging all bugs into a tracking system.
  • Updating management on the status of problem resolution.
  • Providing regular updates on testing outcomes and identified bugs.
  • Proposing enhancements to existing procedures and developing models/systems for testing documentation.
  • Creating user manuals and technical documentation.
  • Ensuring adherence to best practices in testing processes and advocating for quality in production.
  • Conducting daily testing activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in context-driven testing or equivalent educational background.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required (preferably in Information Technology, management, or marketing) or equivalent experience.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Familiarity with Web Accessibility guidelines.
  • Understanding of Context-Driven Testing principles.
  • Knowledge of various testing techniques, processes, and tools.
  • Experience in modeling, test design, and exploratory testing.
  • Experience in test automation and supporting strategies.
  • Creative and strategic approach to learning and implementing testing.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to self-manage and handle multiple priorities.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable conveying testing concepts to a diverse audience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Jira.
  • Familiarity with Rapid Software Testing (RST) is a significant advantage.
