Transportation Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Project Engineer to join our Kansas City, MO team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for collaborating with colleagues to complete assigned projects on time, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating and contributing to the development of project plans and designs.
  • Conducting cost analysis, estimating expected costs, and preparing and implementing project budgets.
  • Performing risk assessments, reporting identified risks to management, and providing recommendations for risk mitigation.
  • Comparing actual project costs to estimates and adjusting plans accordingly.
  • Addressing questions, concerns, and complaints throughout the project, serving as a point of contact for stakeholders.
  • Acting as a liaison between the company, customers, and vendors.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Proactively managing project changes and adjusting plans if problems arise.

Required skills and abilities include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Active PE license.
  • Experience in project management, engineering, systems design, or related field.
  • Experience in management, leading multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Experience with managing municipal, county, or state level transportation/roadway projects.
  • Proven success in leading teams and managing projects.
