Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Harcros Chemicals, a leading manufacturer and distributor of specialty chemicals. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of projects within our manufacturing plants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) regulations, including participation in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA).
  • Conduct project engineering design work for various initiatives within the plant.
  • Perform specific process engineering tasks as assigned.
  • Manage project activities, including oversight of contractors and project timelines.
  • Participate in monthly safety training sessions to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Engage in incident investigations, including conducting root cause analyses.
  • Contribute to job hazard analyses to ensure operational safety.
  • Manage existing contracts related to fire extinguisher inspections, first aid, and uniform services.
  • Participate in project review meetings for other Harcros sites as assigned.
  • Coordinate and oversee annual steam outage work within the plant.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or mechanical engineering with relevant experience.
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing setting.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office software and AutoCAD for project documentation and communication.
  • Problem-solving skills to manage diverse and non-standard situations.
  • Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business documents, technical procedures, and regulations.
