Position Overview

Biological Sample Coordinator

CellCarta, a prominent integrated pathology laboratory and global contract research organization, is in search of a full-time Biological Sample Coordinator to enhance their operations in immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and molecular pathology services for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients worldwide. This role offers an opportunity for career advancement within a rapidly expanding organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Input sample data into a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Manage the electronic retrieval and storage of samples, ensuring they are maintained at the correct temperatures.
  • Coordinate the shipment of samples and supplies both domestically and internationally.
  • Receive, document, and monitor inventory using the Laboratory Information Management System.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks to optimize workflow efficiency.

Educational Background

  • A High School Diploma is mandatory. An Associate or Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline is preferred.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience in a laboratory or pathology setting is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Attention to detail is crucial, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment
  • This is a full-time position with a standard day shift schedule.
  • Willingness to work in a Biosafety Level (BSL) 1 or 2 laboratory where biological samples may be exposed to potentially hazardous pathogens.
