Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Communications Therapist to join our team in Chicago. As a key member of our school community, you will provide diagnostic and intervention services for students with speech, language, and hearing disorders. Your expertise will help ensure access to the general education curriculum and support the academic success of our students.

About the Role:

The Communications Therapist will work closely with network supervisors, teachers, families, and students to provide comprehensive support. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans to address students' communication needs
  • Collaborating with teaching teams to develop and implement curriculum modifications and classroom strategies
  • Providing consultation and training to staff on effective communication practices and strategies
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting progress to stakeholders

Requirements and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must have a Master's degree in Speech Pathology and Communication Disorders, as well as a valid license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education and Illinois Department of Professional Regulations endorsed as a Speech Pathologist. Additionally, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
