About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Engineer to join our team at The Council of Industry. As a Compliance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement compliance strategies to ensure that our products meet regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of compliance activities and results.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to design and engineering teams to ensure compliance from the initial stages of product development.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and testing labs to manage and facilitate compliance testing and certification processes.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in product certification involving lighting.
  • Knowledge of North American UL standards, specifically UL 1598 and UL 2108.
  • Knowledge of lighting standards in the US, UL8750, JA-8, Title 24, and the certification process.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Detailed-oriented and able to support multiple projects at the same time.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
