Job Overview

SST Direct is seeking a qualified Assistant Project Manager to oversee various construction projects. This role is essential for ensuring the successful execution of project plans and maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all aspects of project execution, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Review and understand the terms and conditions of contracts and associated documents.
  • Procure all necessary resources in a timely manner to meet project deadlines.
  • Coordinate and review all submittals, shop drawings, and samples to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Establish and monitor the project budget, providing regular updates and forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts to track project financials.
  • Manage change order documentation and ensure timely resolution to facilitate project payments.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry is preferred.
  • Proficient in construction estimating software; experience with On Screen Takeoff and QuickBooks is advantageous.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Experience with project management software such as ProCore and Autodesk Build.
  • A degree in civil engineering or construction management is preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
