Senior Care Manager Lead

">About the JobWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver Seniority Team Lead to join our team at Sunrise Senior Living. As a member of our care-focused community, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.
Job Summary:
- Provide supervisory support to care teams, ensuring that residents receive high-quality care and services in accordance with their individualized service plans (ISPs).
- Serve as a role model for care staff, demonstrating excellence in customer service, teamwork, and quality of care.
- Lead by example, working variable hours to include weekends and holidays as needed.
- Assist with meal service, coaching team members on hospitality standards during meal service.
Responsibilities:
Essential Responsibilities- Supervise and Support Care Teams:
- Take attendance at the beginning of every shift; manage call-offs/no shows; send open shift messages and respond to shift requests.
- Support team members as they provide Activities of Daily Living (ADL) care and services to residents in accordance with their ISPs.
- Encourage personalized and meaningful resident participation in life enrichment programming and ADLs.
- Assist with Meal Service:
- Coach team members on hospitality standards during meal service.
- Document Care and Services:
- Accurately document care and services provided to residents.
- Review care manager documentation throughout the shift.
- Identify and bridge gaps in documentation by coaching team members.
- Ensure Compliance:
- Monitor team member break schedule and duration.
- Ensure care managers clock in/out using correct job codes.
- Coach team members as required.
- Display Flexibility:
- Work holidays, evenings, weekends, and additional shifts when necessary.
- Cross-Train and Certify:
- Cross-train and credential (including certifications where required by state) to safely administer medications if needed during times of high volume or unexpected absence.
- Lead by Example:
- Lead by example when clocking in/out and taking proper meal/rest breaks.
- Participate in Interviews:
- Participate in group interview process, including job preview video and community tour.
- Onboard New Team Members:
- Support onboarding of new team members, including shadowing and skills demonstration.
- Maintain a Safe Environment:
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests by following established safety standards.
- Report Incidents:
- Report incidents and complete appropriate paperwork immediately.
- Communicate Resident Changes:
- Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to the department care coordinator.
- Prevent and Handle Conflict:
- Prevent and handle conflict by working with the team towards a solution.
- Contribute to Performance Reviews:
- Contribute to care manager annual performance review by providing feedback to department care coordinator.
