Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Walmart Global Tech. As a Staff Data Scientist, you will lead data science projects and take ownership of project delivery and responsibilities. You will work closely with product stakeholders and deliver outstanding business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead data science projects and take ownership of project delivery and responsibilities
  • Work closely with product stakeholders and deliver outstanding business outcomes
  • Develop and deploy appropriate analytic code suitable for production
  • Collaborate with the business to select and develop variables and features iteratively based on model responses
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis activities, including basic statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and statistical inferences
  • Mentor junior data scientists in the team and act as a technical SPOC from your area
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, and 4 years' experience in an analytics-related field
  • Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, and 2 years' experience in an analytics-related field
  • 6 years' experience in an analytics or related field
Preferred Qualifications
  • Data science, machine learning, optimization models, PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics
  • Successful completion of one or more assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R
  • Using open source frameworks, such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or Torch
