Job Title: Inventory Management Specialist

Overview

The Inventory Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing the management and control of product inventory across all warehouses within the company. This role involves working closely with various departments to ensure accurate reporting and safeguarding of assets, while also promoting a customer-intimate approach to provide the best possible experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management
    • Work with cross-functional teams to document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for inventory processes, including adjustments, returns, and transfers.
    • Coordinate with departments to optimize stock levels and order quantities.
    • Lead cycle counts, physical inventory counts, and audits at ePlus sites and 3PL locations.
    • Identify and resolve obsolete inventory.
    • Take ownership of inventory accuracy, reporting on item adjustments by type, location, and reason code, and resolving discrepancies on a daily inventory reconciliation report.
  • Inventory Reconciliation
    • Lead the Supply Chain side of the annual physical inventory count at all ePlus and 3PL locations.
    • Review and improve 3PL inventory reporting processes and perform monthly event and 3PL location inventory reconciliations.
    • Audit physical inventory counts against system records to ensure accuracy.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Forecasting and Demand Planning
    • Collaborate with Sales and Procurement to determine and validate inventory needs and ensure appropriate stock availability.
    • Play a key role in data analysis for the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process and perform other ad-hoc related projects and key analytics.
  • Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements related to inventory.
    • Manage and communicate Sarbanes-Oxley internal control documents as they relate to inventory and warehouse facilities.
    • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
    • Maintain inventory balances to understand and mitigate risks within the Supply Chain, such as managing FIFO, serialization, or lot tracking as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with a Warehouse Management System (preferably Körber).
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience as an Inventory Control Manager or equivalent.
  • Certification in Planning and/or Inventory Control and Management is preferred (e.g., CPIM, CSCP).
  • Experience managing $150M of inventory.
  • Experience in build/configure/ship-to-order environments with hardware and IT Services.
  • Experience managing multiple global facilities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management best practices, industry standards, and compliance.
  • Leverage data analysis to drive decision-making. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Power BI and Power Query expertise is a plus.
  • Critical thinking to question requests from Sales and customers to understand what's in the best interests of all parties.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and be flexible to customer needs.
  • Ability to lead the organization through changes with a positive attitude - a team player with a can-do attitude.
  • Expertise and extensive experience using Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention-to-detail.

Benefits

ePlus offers a competitive total compensation package, including a base salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commissions, and discretionary bonuses, as well as a range of medical, financial, and other benefits, including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off.
