We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Operations Supervisor to join our team at Madison Square Garden Entertainment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operational and administrative processes of our cleaning operations, ensuring a seamless and cooperative delivery of service to our internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Management: Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the custodial department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain consistent and thorough communication with department managers regarding building deficiencies and staff issues, fostering a positive and open relationship with all levels of the organization.
- Logistics and Scheduling: Plan, schedule, and organize all shift work, ensuring that adequate staffing levels are maintained to meet the needs of the organization.
- Staff Management: Supervise full-time and part-time custodial staff, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure that employees are performing at high levels.
- Inventory Management: Manage the cleaning material and supply inventory, as well as the inventory for all restroom consumables, tracking spending throughout the year.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively in emergency situations, such as evacuations, ensuring the safety of employees and clients.
- Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years' management experience, with knowledge of events, theatre operations, and entertainment venues.
- Education: A minimum of 60 credit hours of college-level coursework, or equivalent self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to mobilize key stakeholders, and engage with all levels of the organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, comfortable with heights, and able to lift 25 lbs. safely.
