POSITION SUMMARY

As a Coffee Specialist, you will promote coffee culture by educating both guests and team members. You will prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, adhering to established recipes and preparation methods, including espresso, lattes, and cappuccinos.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Craft and serve a range of beverages, from classic to innovative
  • Advise guests on menu selections
  • Manage inventory by restocking coffee supplies and maintaining equipment
  • Ensure equipment is clean and operational, addressing any issues promptly
  • Uphold a safe and sanitary work environment in accordance with health regulations
  • Continuously seek ways to enhance service quality and efficiency
  • Stay informed about coffee trends and best practices through ongoing education

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Previous experience in a café or coffee shop setting
  • Strong communication skills
  • Minimum age of 17
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Professional appearance with no visible tattoos
  • Reliable transportation

Preferred:

  • Experience in the restaurant industry
  • Skills in guest interaction
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in French or Spanish

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Effective communication in English, both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain an organized and clean workspace
  • Professional demeanor in all interactions
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to assist in various departments as needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift over 30 lbs.
  • Capacity to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods
  • Frequent need to perform physical activities such as reaching, bending, and lifting
