Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and organized individuals to fill the role of front desk receptionist at North Carolina Retina Associates, a leading Retina Practice in the region.

Language Requirement:
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate fluency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and register patients following established protocols.
  • Assist patients in completing necessary forms and documentation, including medical insurance details.
  • Verify the accuracy of patient information, particularly billing details.
  • Educate patients about office procedures and policies.
  • Ensure the availability of treatment information by updating and retrieving patient records.
  • Facilitate patient flow through scheduled appointments.
  • Handle incoming calls and respond to inquiries effectively.
  • Coordinate patient appointment scheduling.
  • Process payments from patients.
  • Regularly review physician schedules to minimize rescheduling.
  • Obtain external medical reports and maintain patient records as required.
  • Respond to requests for information promptly.
  • Assist in registering patients with copay assistance programs.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized reception area.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, including effective listening and clear communication.
  • Ability to navigate multiple software systems for data entry and retrieval.
  • Familiarity with ophthalmology and retina terminology is advantageous.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish is essential.

Clinic hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with a preference for full-time availability. Some additional hours may be required.
