Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to become a vital part of our esteemed dental practice.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in preparing patients for oral surgery, ensuring their comfort, and providing essential assistance during procedures. This role requires the ability to aid Oral Surgeons in visualizing issues and changes within a patient's oral cavity, which includes taking x-rays of the jaw's bone structure and capturing images of the teeth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare for surgical procedures by ensuring all necessary instruments are sterilized and readily available.
- Maintain a clean and dry environment in the patient's mouth during procedures and assist the Oral Surgeon by providing tools at the right moments.
- Educate patients by explaining procedures and discussing treatment progress and future plans.
- Engage in all facets of clinical dental care.
- Prior experience in oral surgery chairside assisting is preferred.
- A positive demeanor and enthusiasm for daily tasks.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, approachable personality.
- Strong communication skills with both staff and patients.
- A willingness to learn new techniques and expand professional capabilities.
- Certification in coronal polishing/sealant and/or nitrous oxide is a plus.
- Salary will be based on experience.
