Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct ultrasound diagnostic procedures and routine ultrasound scans within established time frames and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with department supervisors to address equipment, staffing, and productivity concerns.
  • Obtain and record pertinent patient information prior to sonographic examinations.
  • Enter patient data and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital safety policies and maintain a clean and sanitized work environment.
  • Prioritize patient workflow and assist in the clinical instruction of students when needed.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a formal program in ultrasound technology.
  • Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS CPR certification.
  • Additional registry in abdomen-pelvis, ob-gyn, neonatal heads, or vascular preferred.
Working Conditions

Employees in this position may be exposed to blood-borne pathogens. Physical demands are heavy, requiring exertion of up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly.
