Position Overview

The Cancer Nurse Coordinator/Navigator plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive support and education to patients and their families throughout the cancer care continuum. This position is integral in guiding individuals through the diagnostic, treatment, and follow-up phases of their healthcare journey. The nurse collaborates closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care tailored to each patient's needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance and support to patients diagnosed with cancer and their families.
  • Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive care experience.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
  • Act as a resource for clinical staff regarding oncology-related inquiries.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
Licensure and Certification

  • BLS Certification (Required)
  • Active State Registered Nurse License (Required)
  • Oncology Nursing Certification (Preferred)
Experience and Skills

  • 0 - 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical setting (Required)
  • 0 - 1 year of experience in oncology care (Required)
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in oncology care (Preferred)
