Bayside Solutions is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Manager, Translational Research to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing biological samples, coordinating with CROs, and implementing strategies to increase operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sample Management: Accurately and efficiently register high volumes of biological samples into inventory management systems, identify sample locations, and maintain up-to-date inventories.
  • Communication and Coordination: Act as a central communication hub to coordinate and proactively identify strategies to increase the effectiveness of biological sample management, including improved sample accessibility and operational efficiency.
  • CRO Management: Coordinate and support sample-related activities across CROs and identify CROs to assist in sample management.
  • Project Coordination: Assist in project coordination and management, including documentation, record-keeping, and communication with project teams.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: BS/MS degree in a relevant scientific discipline and 3+ years of experience in project coordination or management in an industry environment.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail, excellent record-keeping skills, and calm under pressure. Sample inventory and tracking experience, experience working with databases, and generally computer-literate. Good documentation practice and familiarity with writing SOPs and work instructions. Rigorous, quantitative, and keen to maximize efficiency. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with project and departmental teams.
  • Desired Skills and Experience: Experience with biological data platforms such as Benchling, database building, and integration is preferred. Experience in handling animal models, histology, biomarker assays, and NGS is desired.
