About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Research Scientist to contribute to our mission in multimedia content generation. The ideal candidate will focus on designing, developing, and implementing text-to-image algorithms based on diffusion models, as well as exploring other models such as auto-regressive transformers.

The successful candidate will work on creating seamless, culturally-tailored storytelling experiences that span multiple modalities, including video, image, and comics. This role requires a strong research track record in Generative AI, including LLMs and diffusion models, and experience training AI models across various modalities.

The Research Scientist will collaborate with our world-class engineering team to push the boundaries of content creation and deliver impactful visual solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research in Generative AI technologies that will impact millions of users globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative research projects in computer vision, focusing on generative models for image and video
  • Design, develop, and implement text-to-image algorithms based on diffusion models
  • Investigate and implement other text-to-image models, such as auto-regressive transformers
  • Train generative AI models across modalities like video, image, comics, text, and audio
  • Implement new algorithms, run experiments, and design evaluations to enhance global content creation, adaptation, and translation
  • Implement and optimize finetuning pipelines with techniques like RLHF, DPO, and LoRA to efficiently train production-scale language models
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of AI-generated content through rigorous testing and evaluation
  • Support the team in publishing research findings in top-tier AI conferences and journals
Qualifications
  • Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with research methodologies
  • Experience in frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Demonstrated experience in deep learning, especially computer vision and generative models (diffusion models, auto-regressive transformers)
  • Familiarity with methods of training and fine-tuning language models, including reinforcement learning, policy optimization, and supervised fine-tuning
  • Preference for fast-paced, collaborative projects with concrete goals, quantitatively tested through A/B experiments
  • Published research in peer-reviewed journals and conferences on relevant topics
