Electronics Technician II

Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Electronics Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our Energy Management Control Systems (EMCS) shop, you will be responsible for executing design and construction projects at the U.S. Air Force Academy and auxiliary sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform work in the EMCS shop using SIEMENS Insight for monitoring and troubleshooting, Fire Alarm Reporting Systems (FARS) comprised of Notifier equipment, Wastewater Treatment Plant, comprised of Wonderware software, and the Advantor Security Systems.
- Perform Information Technology (IT) system administrator duties to include, performing maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on computers hardware and Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair solid state and electronically controlled systems, including SIEMENS Insight, Notifier fire systems, and Wonderware software.
- Program PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and diagnose and repair machine faults/failures related to CNC Pneumatic Servo's, Air Conditioning Controls, and electronic components.
- Conduct factory acceptance testing and configuration of control and automation systems.
- Perform load balancing for Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment operation issues which may be related to electrical design or programming.
- Write operating descriptions and related documentation for control and automation portion of systems.
Requirements
- Requires 3-5 years of experience working in Fire Alarm Reporting System (Notifier), Advantor Security System, Wonderware software, Energy Management Control System SIEMENS Insight and System Administrator duties on Information Technology.
- Must have an understanding of HVAC fundamentals and proper certification by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Colorado-approved technician program to perform maintenance, service, repair, or disposal of refrigeration and air conditioning systems containing CFCs and HFCs refrigerants.
- Have in-depth experience in security alarm design, installation, modification, and maintenance, including current factory training and certification in operating, maintaining, and programming Advantor security systems.
- Have in-depth experience in fire alarm design, installation, modification, and maintenance, including current factory training and certification in operating, maintaining, and programming Honeywell NOTIFIER fire systems.
- A National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Fire Alarm Systems Certification Level II is preferred.
- HS Diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree or higher desired.
- Must be able to successfully complete a Tier 3 background check to obtain and maintain a fully adjudicated secret security clearance.
- Must obtain and use a government-issued common access card (CAC) and maintain worksite access.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills with a professional attitude.
- Able to handle sensitive information and manage complex administrative and contract matters.
- Must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or in teams.
- Capable of working under tight deadlines in a high-volume, multi-priority environment.
- Physically fit for labor, able to work outdoors in all weather, and meet driver and safety requirements.
- Must maintain licenses and/or credentials required for this position.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Highly motivated, flexible organized and must be detail oriented.
- Physically fit to bend, stoop, and lift in awkward positions and able to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Must be able to perform duties under adverse weather conditions (extreme cold / heat, etc.).
- Must be able to perform on-call duties when scheduled and report to work within one hour of notification.
- Performs all assigned duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and directives.
- Displays courtesy and skill in dealing with internal and external customers, coworkers, and management.
- Accurately maintains and updates records to enable quick and efficient retrieval of information.
- Follos up on suspense items to ensure timely completion.
- Consistently produces quality products and service.
- Ability to work independently.
- Complete all training within required timeline.
- Perform all work in a safe and secure manner.
- Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
- Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer's mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
- Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license to operate a company vehicle.
- Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.
- Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.
