The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to join our team in Austin, Texas. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for leading a team of healthcare professionals in providing exceptional patient care and managing the day-to-day operations of our office. You will work closely with our District Medical Director and Office Manager to ensure that our clinical standards and patient care needs are met.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of in-office providers and ensure that they meet our clinical standards and patient care needs
- Guide and support providers' professional development
- Partner with the Office Manager to support a collaborative and positive office community
- Manage communication between your office and other districts, regional, and central teams
- Own specific office management and HR functions
- Manage a patient panel with a broad array of patient needs
- Treat patients in-office or in testing centers, as well as conduct occasional tele-health visits
- Enrolled in, or have completed, an accredited Internal or Family Medicine residency program
- Practiced at least 2 of the last 5 years in an outpatient primary care setting, or have completed a residency program in the last 5 years
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year managing a team of providers
- Board certified in Internal or Family Medicine, or Board Eligible with plans to obtain board certification within 1 year of your One Medical start date
- State licensed in Texas, obtained before your One Medical start date
