Your Role on the Team

As a Surgical Technologist in our Float Pool, you will assist medical care professionals during medical procedures. You will follow instructions and standard procedures, ensure a sterile environment, prepare rooms, and monitor techniques as instructed. You will be required to float between the Orange and Irvine locations as needed.

What It Takes to be Successful
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Two years of demonstrated surgical technologist experience in an acute care facility
  • Successful completion of an accredited course in surgical technology
  • Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications
  • Possession of a national Scrub Technician certification
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
  • Demonstrated experience working as a Surgical Tech in a perioperative setting
