Responsibilities:


Registered Nurses (RNs) carry out essential functions that include providing patient care, educating individuals about mental and physical health conditions, and offering guidance and emotional support to patients and their families. They also conduct therapeutic groups, manage psychiatric crises, and oversee patient seclusion and restraint when necessary.

RNs document patients' medical histories and symptoms, assist in performing diagnostic tests and interpreting results, operate medical equipment, administer treatments and medications, and facilitate patient follow-up and rehabilitation.

RNs instruct patients and their families on managing illnesses or injuries, dietary and exercise regimens, and the self-administration of medications and physical therapy.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  • Must possess a current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current BLS certification upon hire and maintain it.
  • Familiarity with Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
  • Understanding of interdisciplinary treatment team processes, behavioral health programming, and daily nursing operations for both inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units.
  • Knowledge of the continuum of care in behavioral health.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this position, which encompasses estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, ranges from $43.08 to $57.91.

The specific starting compensation will be determined at the time of selecting a candidate for hire, considering a wide range of factors including skillset, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
