Clinical Laboratory Specialist

La Palma Intercommunity Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care by performing complex laboratory tests and procedures.
Responsibilities- Perform a wide range of laboratory procedures, including hematology, blood bank, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, microbiology, and immunology.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers and microscopes.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Collaborate with other laboratory professionals to ensure seamless workflow and efficient test processing.
- Participate in proficiency testing and quality assurance programs to maintain certification and accreditation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies through ongoing education and training.
To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's Degree in a biological science or a related field, and a current and valid California State License. Additionally, you must have at least one year of work experience performing high-complexity testing in a clinical laboratory setting.
