Veterinarian Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinarian Assistant to join our Animal Services Division in Daytona Beach, Florida. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical support to our Veterinarian in a stationary and mobile spay/neuter clinic, ensuring the highest level of care for animals in our community.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Veterinarian in administering medication or vaccines to animals
- Monitor patients before and after surgery to ensure their well-being
- Keep accurate medical records of all animals attended to at the clinic
- Interact with the public, providing excellent customer service and answering inquiries
- Issue required licenses and tags, and perform laboratory testing as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years' experience working in a veterinarian office assisting with animal spay/neuter surgery
- OR certification as a veterinary technician
- Valid Florida driver's license and ability to obtain a Class B CDL within three months
- Two years' experience working in a high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter clinic environment
- Knowledge of proper care and handling of domestic species under stressful situations
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume clinic environment
