About the Role

The Medication Care Specialist will work closely with our wellness director to ensure the highest level of care for our residents. This role involves not only medication management but also personal services, social-recreational activities, and monitoring residents' vital signs.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Complete nursing treatments and monitor residents' vital signs
  • Maintain medication/treatment records, comply with regulatory, OSHA, and incident reporting guidelines
  • Communicate with physician, pharmacy, and family as indicated to assure medications are received promptly
  • Store medications and equipment and keep the medication room clean and orderly
  • Follow the resident service plan including; assistance, bathing, grooming, administering medication, and other activities of daily living (ADLs), noting changes in the resident condition
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and follow infection control procedures
  • Six months of experience in senior caregiving or med pass
  • Ability to obtain CPR/BLS certification
  • Composing reports in English
