POSITION SUMMARY
As a Front Desk Specialist at Marriott International, you will be one of the first points of contact for our guests, and your warm, genuine demeanor will help create a distinctive and personalized experience during their check-in process. The ideal candidate will adapt their approach based on guest cues to ensure that each visitor feels welcomed and at ease. Facilitating a seamless experience for guests is essential, allowing them to fully enjoy their stay.
The Front Desk Specialist will leverage their knowledge and collaborate with various departments within the hotel (including housekeeping, parking, and concierge services) to anticipate and fulfill our guests' needs. A passion for the local culture and attractions, along with meticulous attention to detail in the information shared with guests, accuracy in reporting, and secure transaction processing, is crucial.
Regardless of your position, certain elements are vital for success: ensuring a safe work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and professional appearance, safeguarding confidentiality, complying with quality assurance standards, and protecting company assets. The role requires being on your feet and actively engaging in tasks (standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods) and performing hands-on duties (moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance). Mastering these responsibilities, along with any additional tasks that arise, forms the foundation of this role. Ultimately, the hallmark of the Front Desk Specialist position is delivering an exceptional guest experience, inspiring both guests and team members to embrace the spirit of discovery.
