Machinist - Production and Fabrication Specialist

Job Description
This position operates multiple moderately complex machinery for production parts and basic fabrication tasks within assigned area under minimal supervision. Works with established instructions and support from the Unit Specialist or trainer. The position is responsible for set-up, operation and troubleshooting various manual/CNC machines, secondary machinery and polish equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate CNC machines to produce precision parts and components.
- Set up and operate manual machines for fabrication tasks.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance.
- CNC experience and knowledge of machine operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Able to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise maneuver up to 35 pounds with or without assistance on a routine basis and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Must have manual hand dexterity to grasp, operate tools and equipment repetitively. Able to walk, stand, sit, bend, reach, and occasionally kneel, climb steps, and twist throughout an entire shift. Some areas may be exposed to chemicals, noise, vibration and/or dust, and require the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); such as, but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, foot protection, etc. Ability to wear respiratory protection and comply with OSHA's respirator use requirements.
