Job Overview

Soliant Health is seeking a skilled Medical Specialist to join their team for a 13-week engagement in Southern North Carolina.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $120,000-$150,000 based on industry standards and location.

Job Responsibilities

As a Medical Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and processing medication orders in the busy Emergency Department. You will also provide expert consultation to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy. Additionally, you will monitor and assess medication therapy for efficacy, safety, and appropriateness, maintain accurate records, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in Emergency Department pharmacy is required, including handling ED pharmacy orders.
  • An active NC Pharmacy License is mandatory.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required (or ability to obtain).
  • Thorough knowledge of pharmacy terminology, procedures, and policies is essential.
  • Knowledge of quality measures related to medication therapy is necessary.
